- All presenters and guests are asked to take note that there is only one registration slot reserved throughout the conference, which is on the 9th of September 2025, from 08:30 until 09:00 at GGCillie Entrance. The address is as follows: Ryneveld St, Stellenbosch Central, Stellenbosch,

- Due to the fact that it will be university break, we have made arrangements to secure parking. To all presenters and guests that have requested access to parking spot, we request that you bring your driver’s license. For more information, please contact: 18643442@sun.ac.za
Program Highlights
Day 1: 09th September 2025
- 08:30 – 09:00 Welcoming and Registration: GGCillie Entrance
- 09:00 – 10:00 Plenary Session 1: Opening keynote, Professor Pumla Dineo Gqola
- 10:00 commence with the conference per scheduled in the program
Day 2: 10th September 2025
- 09:00 -16:00 Continuation of program as scheduled.
- Closing performance, Buhle Ngaba; Guerillas
The opening keynote presentation by Prof. Pumla Gqola on the 09th and the closing performance by Buhle Ngaba on the (10th) will take place at GGCillie – Room 1028. Moreover, conference proceeding on both days (09th -10th) will be divided into two concurrent streams which will be taking place in these confirmed venues. After the keynote presentation, all presenters and guests are reminded to consult the program for detailed information on venue, presentation room and themes.
- Stream 1 and all-encompassing themes will be taking place in GGCillie – Room 2004
- Stream 2 and all-encompassing themes will be taking place in GGCillie – Room 2042
Please read the colloquium programme to ensure that you know when you are presenting.
All lunch and Afternoon Tea sessions will take place at the shared courtyard of GGCillie and AVReQ. If it rains, an alternative venue for the break sessions will be GGCillie—Room 5003.
Information for Presenters

All presentations are in-person at the aforementioned venues.

Transportation to the conference is the sole duty of the presenter.

Each presenter is allocated 20 minutes; 15 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A.
- Presenters are asked to prepare their presentation in a USB format or arrive earlier at the venue and ask the session chair for assistance with setting up.
- File format for all oral presentations is strictly restricted to PPTX or PDF.
- Presentation venues will provide tech support and AV Equipment: Provided (Projector, microphone, laptop). All artwork presentations will be the responsibility of the presenter.
- We ask that all presentations be presented in English, and where there is another language, the presenter provide translation (if possible).
All presenters are required to submit their presentations to the relevant streams. Please send your presentation by Monday, 8th September, ensuring the file name includes your name and the title of your paper (e.g., Shoki – CONCEPTUALISING GENOCIDE).
- Submit your presentation to the email allocated for the stream in which you will be presenting, and for backup, please do have your presentation saved on an external disc (USB).
