Biography

Eva-Liisa Andima is a doctoral fellow at The Centre for the Study of the Afterlife of Violence and Reparative Quest. She holds a Bachelor of Education Degree with Honours, majoring in English and Afrikaans, as well as a Master’s degree in English Studies, both obtained from the University of Namibia. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD studies in English Studies, sponsored by the Andrew W.Mellon Foundation and the National Research Foundation scholarships. Her doctoral research focuses on the gendered and environmental dimensions of the Herero and Nama Genocide, analysing selected narratives to elucidate the complex intersections of violence, gender, and ecological degradation during this tragic period in the history of Namibia.
