Professor Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela and AVReQ are to present the 2024 Stellenbosch University Vice-Chancellor’s Annual Lecture to be delivered by Professor Mosa Moshabela. This series of lectures is jointly coordinated with the Centre for Collaboration in Africa (CCA) and hosted by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Wim de Villiers. Prof Mosa Moshabela will be our distinguished speaker and will deliver a lecture titled Cooperation is the New Competition: The Future of Sustainable Higher Education in South Africa.” The message of collaboration that Prof Moshabela brings to the higher education sector is a necessity. We are hoping that the conversations that will emerge from his lecture will bring our institutions together to imagine new partnerships that will advance student research, curricular offerings, and knowledge production and create new opportunities for growth rather than competition between our institutions.
