This year’s colloquium, themed ‘Post’-Violence Subjectivities in the Global South, will bring together Master’s and PhD students from SU, University of Cape Town, University of the Western Cape, and Cape Peninsula University of Technology whose work engages critically with the lingering effects of violence (e.g. historical, structural and intimate) and their manifestation in the present.

The colloquium invites contributions that consider the intersections of history, memory, affect and justice in addressing the ongoing reverberations of violence across generations. We encourage submissions in a range of formats, including papers, panels, posters and arts-based research.
