Meyisi Hlabahlaba is the inaugural Masters Fellow of AVReQ’s collaboration with the University of Fort Hare’s Early Career Academics Staff Exchange Programme. She holds the position of Teaching and Learning Research Coordinator in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Fort Hare. She obtained a B.Sc. in Biological Science from Walter Sisulu University of Technology, and postgraduate diplomas in Public Sector Monitoring and Evaluation, and District Health Management and Leadership, both from the University of Fort Hare. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Health and her research project is titled “Predicting Students’ Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of Self-Medication at the University of Fort Hare, Eastern Cape.” Meyisi’s Master’s fellowship at AVReQ will commence at the end of June 2022.
