These public conversations, moderated by Pumla Gobodo-Madikizela from the wonderful space of the Stellenbosch University Museum, were with coloured, black and white women who have maintained sustained conversation about race and racism, grappling with experiencing the reality of race as it plays out in their relationship with one another. Our interest in these dialogue processes is in learning about the potentially transformative moments that emerge from these difficult conversations, and to understand some of the deeper issues that are not only difficult to face in conversations about race, but perhaps remain as challenges in the relationships and conversations about race.
